Our Villa in Spain

We chose the property for its practicality. There are three bedrooms leading off the combined lounge/kitchen; a courtyard for shelter on windy days, with steps leading to the large sun terrace on the roof. The small, tiled garden areas to the front and side require minimum maintenance, and are an ideal setting for finishing coffee after breakfast, or enjoying a quiet drink in the evening. Most of our time is spent outdoors.

The light and airy interior of the villa is compact without being cramped, and again easy to maintain, with tiled floors and removable windows throughout.

The community enjoys a large swimming pool area which is a meeting place for the residents to have a chat while enjoying a cooling dip during the heat of the summer months.

Location

They say that the three most important factors to consider when choosing a property are location, location and ... location. The panoramic view from the roof terrace is superb, reaching out over La Marquesa golf course, across the Vega Baja (the fertile valley of the Segura River), and on to the mountains behind Elche.

Many an hour is spent gazing out with a cold beer in hand, or simply enjoying a glass of Rioja while the sun goes down.
